Donation Policy

Shake Library welcomes gifts of books, periodicals, and other material. 

It is not the policy of Shake Library to affix a value to donated items.  However, for tax purposes, a receipt stating what has been donated will be available upon request.

When accepting donations, Shake Library will evaluate the donation and make appropriate decisions based on the Library collection development policies.  These decisions can include, but are not limited to:

• Add the item(s) to the collection
• Discard
• Sell at a public sale
• Trade with or donate to another library
